In this post I’ll cover everything at Sephora that’s not makeup related – so everything fragrance, body, skincare, and hair.
Fragrance, body, skin, and hair sets
- Caudalie Hydrate and Restore Body Essentials – the fig oil is one of my favorites and the han cream formula is also excellent. I love the smaller size of the oil in this set.
- Necessaire The Body Wash Discovery Collection – one of my favorite body washes and they just came out with a bunch of new scents, and this mini collection has all of them.
- Phlur Mini Best Seller Trio – 3 of my favorite Phlur scents in mini form! Missing Person, Father Figure, and Vanilla Skin are all great everyday scents and I love this set to take them on the go.
- Salt and Stone Bergamot and HInoki Bodycare Essentials – this scent has a chokehold on me for being a little sweet, a little floral, and a little earthy. I love the body wash, mist and deodorant, and this set is a nice discovery kit for all the products.
- Salt and Stone Mini Deodorant Discovery Set – I love the look of these mini deodorants! I’ve tried a couple other scents in various forms and the formula is really good at preventing odor for me.
FRAGRANCE
PERFUME

- 5 Senses In Too Deep – a beautiful sweet vanilla that doesn’t lean too much into cupcake-vanilla territory. It has an effervescent quality from the sparking sugar note, but overall,, it feels soft and rounded with a bit of sweetness that’s not too overwhelming. It’s moderate strength for me, so it’ll last most of the day after I spray it in the morning but I would need a touch up if I were going out for the night.
- Boy Smells Vanilla Era – a vanilla for the non-gourmand lovers. The main notes are vanilla, white tulip, and black amber, and it translates as an ambery vanilla on me that has just a hint of floral without actually feeling floral. It’s one of those vanillas that isn’t very sweet, and it also lasts all day and into the next morning on my skin.
- Phlur is also on a roll with their fragrances this year and they are mostly hits for me:
- Soft Spot – my favorite Phlur launch this year – a beautiful floral musk that is warm and soft and mellow. It’s a crowd pleaser for good reason because it’s really easy to wear on days I want something with more brightness than my favorite Missing Person but still want to have a subtle scent
- Phlur Strawberry Letter – a strawberry amber that is more of an evening fruity scent because it’s so rich and deep
- Phlur Vanilla Skin – a delightful sweet vanilla that is slightly more grounded from the cashmere woods note

BODY MISTS
- Ellis Brooklyn Vanilla Sin Hair and Body Spray – a cherry vanilla scent that is a little more vanilla than cherry so it doesn’t lean into cough syrup territory, and the bourbon vanilla makes this feel a lot more sophisticated than more cherry scents. It doesn’t last too long on me – maybe 5 or 6 hours, but I’m okay with that.
- Phlur Body Mists have convinced me that body mists can be elegant and fun at the same time. They’re not all hits for me but these are the ones I like:
- Amber Haze is my favorite as it’s a little spicy and musky with notes of saffron and amber, with wear time that lasts all day, nearly as well as some perfumes I have.
- Caramel Skin for a super sweet and rich caramel
- Coconut Skin for someone who wants a beachy vibe but doesn’t love heavy coconut notes – this feels fresh and sweet thanks to the frangipani and amber notes that help brighten the coconut
- Moonstone is a rare fruity green apple scent that I like because it also has jasmine and sandalwood to make it feel a little more mature
- Salt and Stone Bergamot and Hinoki – an incredible floral and earthy scent, and the glass bottle of this mist makes it feel so much nicer than a body mist. It’s a little sweet but also feels clean and soft, and I love to spray this after I shower. Lasting power is also about 5-6 hours for this.

BODY CARE
- InnBeauty Project Bronze Body Glow – a lightly bronzing and shimmery body oil that is pretty transfer-resistant. This gave me just enough of a bronze glow over the summer without adding a ton of color and I like the light gel cream texture.
- Necessaire Body Wash – there are new scents available and they are all delicious! I love Hinoki, which is a calming sweet earthy scent, and Olibanum is a delightful slightly woody and subtly sweet scent.
- Necessaire The Body Vitamin C – a lightweight body serum with vitamin c. I don’t know why I haven’t thought to apply vitamin c to my body since I use it religiously on my skin, but I”m glad I have this one. I use it on its own in the summer or use it under lotion for drier and colder days.

SKINCARE
It’s not surprising that this section is a little sparse, given that I don’t try a ton of skincare, and most of my favorites aren’t at Sephora! Here’s my list of favorite skincare, in case you’re curious.
I’ll always pick up a restock of my favorite Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Exfoliant and a small box of the Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength Peel Pads, but here are a few things I tried recently that are excellent:
- Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Foam – I tried a mini of this cleanser and was so impressed with the richness of the foaming lather. It starts off as a gel and it lathers enough to take off any makeup residues left over from my first cleanser step without being drying. It also has a heavenly ginger scent that is so relaxing every time I use it.
- Clarins Total Lift Eye Cream – one of the few eye creams I consistently go back to because it feels so rich with a silky lotion texture. It’s moisturizing but also
- InnBeauty Project Bright and Tight Eye Cream – a beautiful cushiony eye cream that feels hydrating and protective but still manages to feel light enough for hot summer days. I notice some light depuffing and brightening, and I especially love how well it sits under makeup.
- Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Hue Drops Sun Glow – A sheer lightweight serum with a bronze tint that gives me just a bit of a bronze glow without being too pigmented. During the hottest days of summer I actually just used this as a moisturizer.
- Paula’s Choice Youth Extending SPF 50 – one of the best American sunscreens (Europe and Asia just do it better!!). It has a thin lotion texture and it makes applying the full ¼ teaspoon amount a breeze. I use this as moisturizer over the summer and as a separate layer every other time of year.
HAIR
- Crown Affair The Calming Scalp Serum – After using the Briogeo Scalp Revival Serum for years – which I love – but I wanted to try something new. I really love the spray applicator and the light serum texture really helped moisturize my scalp and keep it from getting irritated between washes. The scent is also heavenly! Light and fresh and floral and it’s so good I will be getting the hair perfume.
- The Rootist Dry Shampoo Powder – THe packaging and refillable feature are a complete win for me. The packaging is compact and easy to take in my bag, and the brush applicator makes it easy to apply product where I need it. The formula is great for second day hair but it’s not quite heavy enough for 3rd or 4th day hair for me. Still, I really love the convenience and ease of this.
That’s it for my recommendations this year! If you’ve started shopping, what have you picked up?
As always, thanks for reading.
