Sale season has officially started, and as always, I’m starting with recommendations from Sephora – the products in this list are specifically products I’ve tried within the last 6 months (since the sale in the spring), or new holiday sets of products I already love.
Details of the sale:
Use code: TIMETOSAVE for the following dates and percentage discount based on your tier:
- VIB ROUGE (20%): October 27-November 6
- VIB (15%): October 31-November 6
- INSIDER (10%): October 31 – November 6
Sephora is personally one of my favorite retailers because they carry so many brands in one place, which is why I provide sales roundups for Sephora events. However, brands carried at Sephora occasionally have their own sales on their websites with discounts over 20%. Especially with Black Friday/Cyber Monday coming up, many brands provide higher discounts than they do with the Sephora sale.
If you’re a VIB or Insider status, this sale is not going to be the best savings for you. Most of the recommendations I have are for brands that rarely do any sales at all, so even a 10% or 15% discount can be helpful. I also know that Sephora is a preferred retailer for many people so I use these posts to keep my recommendations of products I like that are also available at Sephora.
Generally, brands carried at Sephora that rarely or never offer discounts higher than 20% include: Charlotte Tilbury, Dior, Givenchy, Gucci Hourglass, Nars, Necessaire, Phlur Tom Ford, Valentino, or Westman Atelier. These tend to be more luxury or niche brands that don’t often offer discounts.
As always, please use this post and other sales post to help plan your purchase rather than impulse buying a whole cart of products! If spending money on beauty is not a financially responsible decision right now, skip this post.
I’ve done multiple recommendations posts, and this post will cover products I’ve tried in the last 6 months. However, there are many many more recommendations from previous posts. Most recently, I created a post for the sale event that happened in April.
If you’re curious about every product I’ve recommended at Sephora, definitely refer to previous sale recommendations posts:

Any product with an asterisk * next to it are my top recommendations:
MAKEUP
Face
- Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder ($36) – I wear shade 4, and applied it in this reel.
- *Givenchy Prisme Loose Setting and Finishing Powder ($59) – I wear shade 03 Voile Rose. It leaves a really smoothing and blurred effect that looks incredibly natural. I can’t tell that I have any powder on my face but my skin has a slight airbrushed quality with this powder.
- Tower 28 Swipe All Over Hydrating Serum Concealer ($22) – I wear either EP or Ktown
Cheeks
- Charlotte Tilbury Matte Beauty Blush Wand ($42) – specifically in the shade Pillow Talk, which is a neutral rosy beige shade. I applied it in this reel along with several other products I recommend!
- Dior Rosy Glow Blush ($40) – I have the newer formulation in the shades Rosewood and Berry and find them to be just as excellent in terms of pigment, blendability, and lasting power as their older formulation. I have individual try-ons of both shades: Rosewood and Berry in
- Glossier Mini Cloud Paint Duo ($23)
- *Hourglass Ambient Unlocked Palette ($90) – Snake is my favorite palette, and it also has 5 new shades. I also have the Jellyfish palette, which is lighter toned overall, but still wearable for my skintone.
- Nars Afterglow Liquid Blush ($32) or this trio set of 3 minis ($45) – this is a beautiful dewy liquid blush that doesn’t quite last all day for me (it lasts up to about 7 hours before it fades) – but the blendability of the formula and the radiant but not greasy effect of this makes this formula worth it for me.
- Saie Glow Sculpt Multi-Use Cream Highlighting Blush ($32) – I love the shade Quartzglow as a highlighting blush option. This formula has a similar formula to my beloved Westman Atelier Super Loaded Tinted Highlighters, although the shades are somewhat different. I compared the two formulas in this reel.
- Valentino Matte Liquid Lipstick and Blush ($40) – These feel weightless on my skin and provide a really lovely tint. I applied them in this reel.
- YSL Nu Lip and Cheek Balmy Tint ($28) – a surprise hit for me! This is a gel cream tint that is blurring and smoothing while having impressive lasting power for the formula.
Eyes
- Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes Easy Eyeshadow Palette ($60)
- Fenty Shadowstix Longwear Eyeshadow Stick ($25)
- *Merit Beauty Solo Shadow ($24) – Extremely long lasting, and the shade Brun makes an amazing one and done eyeshadow. Although it looks like a very deep brown in the pot, it sheers out really well to a midtone brown. I like to apply it with the accompanying brush.
- *Natasha Denona I Need a Nude Palette ($69) – I’ve been reaching for this palette non-stop since I got it. It is definitely holy grail status for me.
Lips
- Gucci 3 Piece Mini Lip Set ($45)
- Kaja Juicy Glass Lip Oil ($18) – A really lovely lightweight juicy lip oil that have fruity scents. They have menthol in them which gives them a slight cooling effect – It’s not really minty in any way, and it makes it really nice to apply with warmer weather,l but it may not be for everyone.
- Kosas Wet Stick Shiny Sheer Moisturizing Lipstick ($24)
- *Kulfi Heirloom Satin Lipsticks ($30)- I already have 2 shades: Ma’s Misra and Rosewood, and I adore how comfortable this formula is while providing a natural medium coverage tint.
- Merit Shade Slick Gelee Sheer Tinted Lip Oil ($24)
- YSL Beauty The Bold High Pigment Lipstick ($45) – I swatched a few of the shades in this reel.
- YSL Beauty Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick ($39) – another holy grail formula. Thick, nourishing, medium tint, long lasting moisture. This was in my spring recommendations but they’ve added new shades that are fantastic.
TOOLS
- Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow Foundation Brush ($47)
- Merit Brush No. 2 Double Sided Eyeshadow Brush ($20)
BODY
- *Caudalie Moisturizing Fig Body Oil Elixir – the juciest and freshest fig body product I’ve ever used! It really smells like fresh figs and the scent sticks around for a few hours.
- Fenty Skin Butta Drop Whipped Oil Body Cream ($44), and there’s also a cute trio set with 2 lightly shimmering body creams ($59)
- Necessaire – Jumbo Body Lotion ($45) – one of my all time favorite lotions, finally in a jumbo bottle.
- Ouai St Barts Moisturizing Body Cream ($38)
- Phlur Missing Person Hand Cream ($20)
- Skiinfix Eczema+ Hand Repair Cream – $20
SKINCARE – most of the skincare I’ve tried and loved in the past year have been from brands not carried at Sephora so this year’s skincare recommendations are nice and short.
- Youth to the People Peptides and C Energy Eye Concentrate with Vitamin C and Caffeine
- Fenty Beauty Plush Puddin’z Intensive Recovery Lip Mask Duo ($34)
- Mara Sea Silk Lip Balm ($26) and the trio set with two tinted shades ($58)
- Summer Fridays Mini Lip Butter Balm Set ($25)
FRAGRANCE:
- Dedcool Taunt and Milk Travel Spray Perfume Set – ($90)
- *Ellis Brooklyn Apple Love ($110)
- Fenty Eau de Parfum Set ($155) – this scent is intoxicating to me, and this set makes a gorgeous git.
- Kilian The Arsenal of Scents Floral Duo – $155 – includes 2 of my favorite Kilian scents: Love, Don’t be Shy, and Good Girl Gone Bad.
There are some fantastic products in here that I’ve tried within the past few months. Since this list is not quite as detailed as my previous post, feel free to ask questions or follow along on Instagram where I will be talking about the sale a lot in the next few days.
I’m also curious what’s on your list – what are you planning on purchasing?
As always, thanks for reading!
